This morning, we got to sleep in a bit, something that doesn't usually happen on a tour, and after packing, we drove to the Hornby Island ferry, first stopping and having breakfast at our friend Cynthia's house; not only is she a dear friend, she is also the guiding spirit behind the concert series.

The concert this evening was again held in a rustic-style community centre with good acoustics. Both Denman and Hornby Island have a thriving cultural life that is really quite special, especially given their small populations. One of the great joys of touring is in having the opportunity to see all parts of the country and to meet the people who make the arts flourish in spite of all the roadblocks and cutbacks. We look forward to coming back soon.
