Highlights for the second half of 2007-08:
- March 23: Toronto Symphony Orchestra Young Peoples Concert with
conductor Rob Kapilow, featuring Saint Saens's Carnival of the Animals.
- April 12: Worcester Mass., Tepperman Hall; the programme features
Brahms's Variations on a Theme of Haydn.
- April 27: Toronto, Glenn Gould Studio (C.B.C.) with the Elora
Festival Singers, Noel Edison conductor. The programme features Brahms's
Variations on a Theme by Haydn, as well as choral lieder for
piano and choir by Franz Schubert.
- May 26 - 28 in Minneapolis: National Suzuki Convention. Jim
and Leslie will be giving workshops and master classes as well as performing a
recital.
- Festival of the Sound, Parry Sound Ontario. Highlights include
performances of Mozart's Concerto for Two Pianos and Orchestra and
Carnival of the Animals in its original version for two pianos and octet.
The latter will feature some of Canada's finest concert soloists including
James Campbell, Joel Quarrington, and Steven Dann.
Anagnoson & Kinton perform in Prague!
On 4 December 2007, Jim and Leslie performed a recital in Prague, the
Czech Republic, in Martinu Hall as part of the annual "Martinu Days" presented
by the Bohuslav Martinu Institute. The programme was recorded and
broadcast by Czech Radio:
